We've loved traveling across the country this Summer as part of our #CanadaAtYourFeet
road trip, but there really is no place like home.
We are immensely proud to be an Edmonton-born-and-based company. The 53rd latitude may not always get a lot of love, but anyone who's from here knows just how special it is. We have endless amounts of natural green space to explore within city limits, a multitude of festivals running year-round, a burgeoning dining scene, established theatre, music, and arts communities, and some of the most skilled makers and designers in all of the country living and working right here.
We are always the first to sing Edmonton's praises, so when we set out to build our Summer Travel Guide series, we knew that we had to include our hometown.
We asked our Co-Founder and Edmonton-booster Justine Barber (wearing our Eyelet Strappy Sandal in Flame Red
) to give us her picks for the best places to visit when in town. She breaks down where she likes to eat, shop, and explore at home in Alberta's capital city.
"It's the restaurant in our neighbourhood, and one of my family's favourite places to eat. They have great food and it's such a cozy and quaint local spot."
Shades Of Grey Boutique
"Other than Poppy Barley, I would have to say my favourite place to shop in Edmonton is Shades Of Grey on 124th Street. They have a really great selection of casual, dressy, and work-appropriate clothing and accessories. They carry a lot of brands that you can't get anywhere else in the city."
Fort Edmonton Park
"It's such a great way to spend a day outside with the family."
