The immense lack of support and resources for girls and non-binary youth during their critical developmental years. Girls and non-binary youth from ages 10-14 struggle as the confluence of societal and biological trends create a perfect storm for adolescent girls: rapid decline in confidence, poor mental health, and a toxic, sexualized culture.
The Future Fund’s mandate is to empower and build the confidence of girls and non-binary youth. $100,000 over three years will support initiatives and organizations that help alleviate The Girl Gap.
With our non-profit partners, we’re building a toolbox that equips girls and non-binary youth to be more resilient, confident, and develop skills and connections that will carry them into adulthood.
What's Happening in The Girl Gap?
By age 14, girls drop out of sport at twice the rate of boys the same age.
Let's Keep Girls in Sport
Girls and women who play sports have higher levels of self-esteem, and an astounding 94% of female leaders have an athletic background.
Cost keeps 1 in 3 Canadian kids out of organized sports. We partner with KidSport to help keep girls and non-binary youth in sport with financial assistance to cover sport registration fees.

The Future is Female
When girls are empowered with financial knowledge, they have the confidence to navigate adulthood with resilience, become leaders in their communities, and pursue entrepreneurship.
We support Junior Achievement’s hands-on programming dedicated to educating children about financial literacy and entrepreneurship.

* Belt will sit high on the waist. For a trouser belt fit you may need to size up.
The Belt length corresponds to the length of the belt from the buckle to the middle hole.
When wearing the belt in your preferred position, you should comfortably sit in the middle hole. The belt will relax with wear allowing you to cinch it tighter.
If you would like to wear the same belt on your waist and hips, you will either find it tighter or looser depending if you go with your larger or smaller size.
