How to Style Wooden Clogs

3-minute read

So you purchased a pair of wooden clogs, and now you're not sure how to incorporate them into your closet. Don't worry we're here to help! This versatile leather shoe can be worn anytime, anywhere—and most importantly—with anything! With help from some of our most fashionable friends, we've rounded up eight of our favourite ways to style clogs—perfect for work, weekends, and anything in between.

The East Coast Clog Black

@lizzybrownxx

Lizzy balances her look by incorporating black from top to bottom, including a belt with similar hardware in the middle. Our fave: The Accent Belt.

You can never go wrong with great basics in neutral colours, like a denim maxi skirt, a white tank and a black blazer. The black leather on the clogs pairs perfectly, and because the sole is made of a natural material, it acts as another neutral, too.

The West Coast Clog White

@therivercitysisters

Richelle’s style is the perfect combination of relaxed and refined. Her light-wash denim and slip-on clogs feel easy going while a blazer adds just the right amount of polish.

The white leather complements her white tee for a perfectly coordinated look. Plus, pink and white always pair perfectly, if you ask us.

The East Coast Clog Biscotti

@leevosburgh

We love Lee’s classic, feminine looks! The ankle strap on The East Coast Clog adds a delicate touch, which perfectly suits this type of style.

We’re especially drawn to look number two, featuring wide leg denim and a sweet button up cardigan. The platform-style soles have an impactful elongating effect when paired with wide-leg styles. Plus, the cropped style shows off your fave footwear!

The West Coast Clog Black

@grewalleah

This is Leah’s “ideal trans-seasonal look.” She pairs a summer staple (hello, sundress!) with a windbreaker, which adds some warmth but also beautifully contrasts the femininity of the dress.

The West Coast Clog easily transitions from spring to summer to fall, and the black leather pairs perfectly with the black jacket.

The East Coast Clog Sage

@thestylistlindsaymills

Lindsay’s look is all about texture! The colour and texture of her pants play into the colour and velvety feel of the Sage nubuck leather, making for a coordinated but not too matchy-matchy look.

The fitted tank and wooden clogs create a structured base for more relaxed pieces like the flowy pants and oversized cardigan.

@msbeltempo

Just add ✨socks ✨ Alyssa pairs her clogs with socks for visual interest (and warmth on chillier days). We love how the colour of her socks and clogs coordinates with the colours in her sweater—put together without trying too hard!

Clogs go well with pretty much any style of jeans, including this loose-fitting pair. Not to mention, the light wash plays perfectly into the 70s feel of the clogs.

The West Coast Clog Multiwoven

@_karolinacook

Karolina picks a colour from the leather and pulls it through the rest of her ensembles. For example, an off-white shacket or cream sweater/skirt set makes the Oatmeal leather in the clogs pop.

The neutrality of the looks also highlights the Ultraviolet and Sage colours woven into the leather.

Belt Measuring Guide

Belt Measuring Guide

A - High-rise style:

If you plan to wear your belt around your natural waistline, wrap a measuring tape around the narrowest part of your midsection. Then, add 3” to determine your high-rise belt size.

B - Mid-rise style:

If you plan to wear your belt lower than your natural waistline, you will require a dierent size. If you have a particular pair of bottoms you intend to wear your belt with, wrap a measuring tape through the belt loops while in a relaxed position.

When wearing your belt in your preferred style, it should fasten in the middle hole. The belt will relax with wear allowing you to cinch it tighter, as needed.

If you plan to wear the belt in both the high and mid-rise styles, you have two options:

  1. Select your high-rise style and fasten it more loosely when worn in the mid-rise style.
  2. Select your mid-rise style and fasten it more tightly when worn in the high-rise style.
