With Christmas less than two weeks away, everyone is working up a frenzy to get everything done. My first couple weeks with Poppy Barley have been a whirlwind of learning, travelling and measuring! Last weekend I was in Calgary with Kendall and Gillian at The Heather Co and Vine Styles measuring customers. It was quite the amazing experience, thank you to everyone who came out! Working as concierge puts me in touch with all our customers every day, which is great, but working at pop-up events is always more exciting because I actually meet the customers; We rant and rave about Poppy Barley shoes and bond over our collective excitement of anything shoes.
Yesterday was Poppy Barley’s Christmas Party and we were treated to a fantastic five-course dinner hosted by our friend Warren from Start-Up Edmonton and his friend Elizabeth who bartends at North 53 (go see her!). I learned a lot about food and cocktail making. Not a bad start to the holidays!
What else is happening…
- The word is out, and men are in hot pursuit of the new custom Men’s Collection, recently launch in beta. We are thrilled to be receiving such positive feedback and seeing the orders rolling in.
- Poppy Barley fans are snapping up our new Upcycled Leather Watches by Berg & Betts. Giving new life to the earliest Poppy Barley boot samples, these watches will make a lovely and unique gift for under the tree. Order ASAP to get them in time for Christmas! - We’re getting a huge amount of requests for our gift card packages for her, and for him. If you’re in Canada, make sure you order them by DECEMBER 17 to receive the packages in time for Christmas! We also do e-gift cards if you are in a last minute scramble this year.
