In January 2013, the first pairs of customer-ordered Tall Boots arrived in Edmonton. Trying to save money on shipping and to receive instant customer feedback, we personally delivered the boots to each customer. We met our customers in their living rooms and offices, nervous and hopeful that the boots would be well-received. Those first customers took a risk on us—two women with a dream of creating a meaningful footwear company.
Over the years, Poppy Barley has grown remarkably. Almost every aspect of our business has changed. The one constant: people being at the core of everything we do. Without YOU (our customers), Poppy Barley wouldn’t exist. It’s our privilege to design products for you. With your support, we’re re-thinking the footwear industry and contributing in meaningful ways to impact our planet and communities.
