Summerland Sweets was founded in 1962, and continues to be a staple, not only in the Okanagan, but across the nation. Located at the top of Canyon Road, you can take in the views of Summerland's beautiful lake and orchards, while exploring the shop. Make sure to come with an empty Market Tote - it will fill up fast with their delicious apricot jams and blueberry syrups! Where To Sightsee - Poplar Grove With over 180 wineries stretching across the Okanagan, the valley is BC’s primary region for grape growing - which means endless amounts of wine tastings and tours! Hidden in the corner of the Lake Okanagan, just twenty minutes south of Summerland, is one of our favourites: Poplar Grove. Take in the stunning views from their outdoor patio, and enjoy a delicious and refreshing glass (or two!) of their award winning wines. A view that tastes as good as it looks! Where To Eat - True Grain Bakery Named one of Canada’s Best Bakeries by Huffington Post, True Grain is one stop that you cannot miss when visiting Summerland. Using only fresh, organic, and local ingredients - they create the most delicious baked goods. My favourite is the to-die-for cheese twists that are guaranteed to be sold out before noon!
